OKTAL-SE Company software
The software solution and software code are the same among the Chorale-Workbench
and SE-Workbench. This enables the Research and Development
effort needed to build this type of reliable simulation solution to be shared.
As the French Ministry of Defense (DGA) greatly participates in the development of the
Chorale-Workbench, the different research and development centers
of the DGA benefit from free deployment of certain software from the solution.
In the table above, the pictures of the different Workbenches give access to the individual documentation
of each software involved. This software commercial description is provided as it is, without any warranty of
conformity with the actual state of the software.
Electro-optic (visible, infrared and intensification-of-light), radio-frequency (radar and antenna) or acoustic
sensor systems are usually difficult to simulate due to the complexity of the required synthetic environment
modeling. The OKTAL-SE suite of software enables the creation of realistic multispectral
synthetic environments.
The priority of the software is to provide physically accurate 3D database and database of physical materials.
The usage of ray tracing and 3D graphic board techniques for the scene analysis enables the
generation of high quality scenes of complex scenarios.
The software edited by the company can be separated into two packages:
SE-Workbench package and the
Chorale-Workbench package.
SE-Workbench short description
The SE-Workbench package is dedicated to industry and
to foreign Ministry of Defense. The software catalogue of the
SE-Workbench solution, both for electro-optic (EO) and
radio-frequency (RF) is separated
in 3 different EDITIONS. The editions are packages of software
dedicated to different levels of operational needs. The EDITIONS
are described as follow:
The Chorale-Workbench package is reserved for the French Ministry
of Defense (DGA) and includes the EXPERT EDITION of the SE-Workbench
enhanced by specific French MoD features.
