Smoke simulation in Visible and Infrared

The fire and smokes can be simulated both in the visible and infrared wave bands. The smoke plays an important role in the detection assessment and in the countermeasure development.
It involves SE-FAST, SE-FAST-IR and SE-SPECIAL-EFFECTS for the smoke development.

 

Helicopter all weather flight studies

All weather flight simulation is made using visible and infrared channels. The 3D terrain database is automatically generated using SE-AGETIM and is 400km X 400km large. It is used both in visible and innfrared using SE-FAST and SE-FAST-IR.

 

Wind Turbines radar environment simulation

How to Assess the Potential Impact of Wind Turbines on Surveillance Sensors using SE-Workbench-RF simulation software. The simulation can be used to study the impact of wind turbines on the radar environment, close to airports for example.
In this case, RCS of wind turbines at 10GHz are computed with different attitudes using SE-RAY-EM software. As an illustration a SAR image at 35GHZ of a static wind turbine is calculated as well.

 

Visible and Thermal shadows simulation

Visible cast shadows generated in real-time as function of the ephemerid (time of the day) and infrared thermal shadows generated as function of the atmospheric conditions history. The visible and infrared shadows are generated with the SE-Workbench-EO simulation software.
It involves SE-FAST, SE-FAST-IR and SE-RAY-IR with SE-RAY-IR-THERMAL-SHADOWS.

 

UAV ground station training solution

Integrated with INSTA in Finland, this solution enables to train UAV pilots to the manipulation of the embedded sensors. This solution simulates the visible and infrared sensors, as well as the tracking mechanism and target tracking methods.
The software used are SE-FAST and SE-FAST-IR from the SE-Workbench-EO.

 

Visible and infrared urban database rendering

A real site in the south of France is simulated in 3D. The same 3D terrain is used for visible and infrared sensor simulation. The infrared sensor images are rendered without and with sensor effects.
The software used are SE-FAST and SE-FAST-IR from the SE-Workbench-EO.

 

RF field density computation in the vecinity of the airport

In the frame of the FP6 SIRENA european project, the density of RF field on any point of the Blagnac aiport has been computed. This computation takes into account all the sources (MSL, ILS, GSM, ...) and the interactions of the field with the 3D terrain and materials of the airport.
The software used are SE-AGETIM and SE-RAY-EM from the SE-Workbench-RF.
