Company history:

OKTAL Synthetic Environment (OKTAL-SE) was created in 2001 by its Chief Executive Officer Mr. Jean LATGER as an emanation of the company OKTAL created in 1989. OKTAL-SE was created to provide customers with state of the art multi-sensor simulation software and services. The name of the company was selected, in order to reflect the focus of the company in multi-sensor software simulation edition, dedicated to infrared, radar and acoustic domains.

Historically, the company founders used to work in the image synthesis department of THOMSON, 18 years ago. They shared the idea of developing multi sensors simulation solutions for critical components of complex systems. Immediately, the software package was very well accepted by the French DGA and companies that saw a definit way to reduce the program development costs involving optronic sensors through R&D capitalisation.

OKTAL-SE now serves more than 50 customers mostly in Europe and Asia, including numerous prestigious firms such as MBDA, SAGEM, EADS, DGA, BWB, FOI, CNES, FGAN, DSO ... To all of them, OKTAL-SE personnel offers turnkey software solutions, customised software as well as engineering consultancy services.
